One of the reasons that I'm excited about this blog is that we always have so much to talk about in client appointments that there isn't a lot of time for clients to get to know our team. Studies have shown that, when partnering with an advisor, it's important to clients that they know more about their advisor than just their credentials. This blog in an opportunity for me to tell you more about our team.
In that vein, I wanted to share that my husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary last weekend in Cloudcroft, New Mexico where the temperatures ranged from around fifty to seventy degrees - heavenly! Having eloped when we were 18 years old, I don't think very many people were betting on a 35th wedding anniversary.
My husband, Troy, has been an incredible, behind-the-scenes business partner. He's a sounding board, technology technician, furniture mover, problem solver, construction/ remodeling guru, electrician, plumber, Human Resources Manager, decision maker, HVAC repairman, cheerleader, art hanger (again and again and again), travel partner, event planner, and much more. He's handled two office floods, several reptile visits, termites, a sugar ant infestation, falling ceiling tiles, landlords, car repairs, malfunctioning air conditioners, etc. Unknowingly, our clients have reaped plenty of benefits from having him on the team.
Spending the last 35 years with him has been a great season in my life.
