Meet the Team
Kristina Summers
Certified Financial PlannerĀ®
A Texas native, Kris Summers began her formal career with Principal Financial Group in 1998. Prior to her position there she was putting her financial skills to work as a debt counselor to members of the military and working for USAA in property and casualty insurance. Kris’ well-rounded background is one few financial professionals have. She obtained her Certified Financial Planner® designation in 2007, which professionally solidified her desire to set herself apart in the industry. As a CFP®, Kris takes an active role in helping her clients develop sound plans encompassing every area of their financial wellbeing with an emphasis on retirement planning and generational wealth transfer.
Before launching Seasons Wealth, LLC in 2021, Kris spent eighteen years working as a financial advisor at Edward Jones. With the rapidly evolving industry, Kris made the decision to become an independent advisor to take advantage of a greater pool of resources and services to meet the needs of her clients.
Kris finished her college courses while simultaneously working full time. Her tireless work ethic extends beyond her professional endeavors as she spends a great deal of time volunteering for causes near and dear to her heart, believing we should all leave the world a better place.
In 2018 Kris founded a support group for women financial advisors with an additional goal of furthering the collective knowledge of the group. She is a past member of Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS), several Chambers of Commerce, and founded the Business Referral Network and Devine Citizens for Reasonable Utility Rates.
An advocate for her community, Kris is also concerned with preserving natural resources and has served on the water boards for East Medina County Special Utility District and Navajo Dam, New Mexico. She was on the board of the emergency service district in Devine, TX during the building of a new facility, is the past president of her neighborhood association, and is the former mayor of a military housing complex.
Faith is an integral part of Kris’ life. She is an active member of Destiny Church and has served in various positions in every church she has attended. Kris has participated in mission trips to Uganda and Panama and served on the board of Mission Devine for several years. She is currently on the board of Morningside Ministries.
Today Kris enjoys spending time with her husband Troy of more than thirty years with whom she eloped when she was eighteen. She loves to hang out at the family ranch, work crossword puzzles, read, and explore new hiking trails.
