Today we are celebrating two independence days - our country's independence from Great Britain on July 4th, 1776 and my transition to an independent financial advisor on December 4th, 2021.
One of my favorite books is a historical fiction book, "Those Who Love" by Irving Stone, about John and Abigail Adams. John Adams was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Interestingly, he and another famous signer, Thomas Jefferson, both passed away on July 4th, 1826 - the 50th anniversary of our independence.
Seasons Wealth is celebrating our first six months of independence. We have made it through the busiest time of our transition and are enjoying the ability to make our own decisions which enable us to improve the financial wellbeing of our clients.
I hope you're doing something enjoyable to celebrate the holiday. Maybe you'll be eating one of the 150 million hotdogs Americans eat every July 4th. I'll be at home celebrating the fireworks display from our backyard. Our house is on a hill that is a lot higher than it appears and we get to watch fireworks erupt all over the city - an added bonus we weren't expecting when we bought the house.
Happy 4th of July!
